DEN Cross-CDT PhD Writing Retreat

A 2-day cross-CDT PhD Writing Retreat to be held at The Apple Store Cafe and Hall, located within Wyresdale Park in the scenic village of Scorton, Lancashire.

This retreat is open to current PhD students within the Digital Economy Network, and is free to attend for those who are registered as Digital Economy CDT/PhD students at UK universities that are part of the Network.

The retreat starts with breakfast from 8.30am on Monday 19 June and concludes at 5pm on Tuesday 20 June.  The programme will be facilitated by Andy Darby of Lancaster University.

Accommodation will be organised for registered delegates either at or close to Wyresdale Hall and Park for the evenings of Sunday 18 and Monday 19 June on a room only basis, as breakfast is served each morning at the Apple Store Cafe on arrival.

Refreshments and lunch are also provided for attendees, as well as an evening meal at Wyresdale Hall on the evening of Monday 19 June.

PhD students attending the retreat can use the time-structured event to work on a writing project of their choice, whether this be a thesis chapter, journal, research paper, online content or job applications.
