Chira was appointed DEN Social Media Advocate on 1 February 2017 and attended the DEN Annual Meeting at the Digital Catapult Centre in London to be introduced to the event participants. We are delighted to welcome Chira to the Network following the departure of Dr Chris Carter from the role, who has now moved on to be an Assistant Professor in the Nottingham University Business School.

After completing a degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Bournemouth University, Chira joined the advertising industry working at OMD, an Omnicom media agency. Beginning first in their Communications Department, then moving across to their Insight Department, she managed several projects across clients such as Boots, Vodafone, Hasbro, Pepsi Co and Disney.

She then moved to Substance Global, a digital agency that specialises in PR and Marketing films, TV and games. There she worked in the Social team managing over 100+ accounts for brands such as Warner Bros Interactive, 20th Century Fox, Paramount and HBO.

In 2015, Chira commenced an iPhD in Web Science at the University of Southampton.
